Support Groups

Join one of our trauma informed, intersectional peer support groups. Always free of charge.

  • We know how difficult it can be to find support. That's why we offer our support groups free of charge, with the option to tip your facilitator or donate to our program. Our groups are open to any english or spanish speaking individual with PMDD.

  • PMDD can feel isolating. Our groups are full of individuals who understand exactly what you are going through and are eager to listen and support you. Feel seen and understood by other menstruators around the world with PMDD.

  • We understand that a person's social, racial, and political identities combine to create different modes of discrimination and privilege. Our program rests on the concept of equality and understanding the interlocking systems of oppression.

  • Many people, with or without PMDD, have experienced trauma in their lives. We create a trauma-informed atmosphere by utilizing unique group guidelines that foster a safe environment for all individuals & experiences.

  • All of our facilitators go through in-depth peer support training as directed by Group Peer Support (GPS). We also complete mandatory trainings on PMDD, the menstrual cycle, and suicide prevention.

  • Pushing Past PMDD has a very unique peer support structure that includes meditation breathwork, open conversation, online chat groups, non-binary & transgender support, partner support, and so much more. All of our facilitators are PMDD warriors.

Suicide Prevention

An estimated 1 in 3 (34%) people with PMDD have attempted suicide.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, you are not alone and there is help.

If you are in crisis or actively thinking about suicide, please call your local suicide hotline or go to your local hospital or mental health facility. If you are in the US, please dial 9-8-8.

Work Accommodations Request

Is your PMDD so bad you worry you may never be able to hold a job? Or that you have to quit the job you have?

You are not alone. A significant number of people with PMDD struggle maintaining a job due to the severity of their symptoms.

Asking for work accommodations may help keep you employed and thriving in your career again.

Because PMDD is considered a disability, you can get reasonable accommodations in the workplace.

To request a reasonable accommodation, you typically just ask. There is no special process to request an accommodation and you do not have to use special words. Nor do you have to put your request in writing. However, some contractors do have a specific process, so ask your employer.

If having a face-to-face meeting with your boss sounds intimidating, use our email template to ask for accommodations. Just copy and paste the email from the PDF guide and edit it however you like!

Please note that work accommodations are not guaranteed and this information is not for legal purposes, nor should it be used as legal advice.

School Accommodations Request

Need to submit a letter of request?

School can become overwhelming during your luteal phase. Depression, panic attacks, and inevitable PMDD mood swings make it seem like you’ll never graduate. Things like mandatory attendance, hard deadlines, and crowded classrooms can make high school or college feel impossible.

You are not alone and it IS possible for you to graduate. Most high schools, colleges, and universities offer student accommodations.

The quickest way to find out how to apply for your school's student accommodations is to search your school's name + "student accessibility services."
